CHRONIC FATIGUE

What is Chronic Fatigue?

Chronic Fatigue is a medical disorder in which symptoms of fatigue persists for over six months.  The cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (cfs) neither is over - exertion, nor is relieved by rest.  Rather, the exact causes of chronic fatigue are not specifically known.  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome may be diagnosed through laboratory tests.  Chronic fatigue is not as common as general fatigue, however, a considerable number of patients especially in America and England are suffering from the chronic fatigue disorder.  This disorder is also commonly known as myalgic encephalitis (ME), post viral fatigue syndrome (PVFS) and chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS).  Part of our evaluation is to check for signs of subclinical viral infection as well as heavy metal toxity which may be effecting the immune system.  Also of importance is making sure the body is regulating sugar properly in the body which sometimes requires a specific diet and the resetting of certain reflexes.  This helps reestablish the bodies ability to regulate itself, namely sugar metabalism which in turn has a significant effect on maintaining normal hormone levels.
